Beneath
Eros' stolen arrow a drummer works
to milk the hardened tourist stone of change
through Piccadilly's walled-in flood of light
fidgeting with wing-nuts, he prepares his set
tensioning skin within the stirring cauldron's sound.
As though invaded by the city, his pace sustained,
giving palsied nod to eyes donating change.
