Ludgate Hill
A site of light and air
a place to sit and breathe

The site of St Paul's at the top of Ludgate Hill has seen many churches, cathedrals and sacred buildings. The present building by Sir Christopher Wren, built after the Great Fire of London in 1666, was completed in 1710.

This is St Paul's.

This is architecture

its face of Portland Stone

a contrast

to our more human black.

London Nights

'Change, sir?
Spare some change sir?'
Urgent pleading from an outstretched hand.
And we,
Uncaring or unfeeling
Take our table in the corner,
Browse the menu,
Order wine,
Eat our meal
And tip the waiter.
